Puerta del Sol
One of the Madrids largest and liveliest squares. Reminds one of Times Square in NYC with the mobs of people, locals, tourists, and people dressed in costumes looking for money. Also lots of street performers and despite the crowds, less concerned about crime and pickpockets here.
Taberna del Chato
Great place for lots of tapas and small bites at a reasonable price.
Rosi La Loca Taberna
Vintage and tropical inspired tapas bar that serves amazing food of all kinds. Also very reasonable.
Restaurante Morgana
Highly recommended and tons of locals. Artsy interior with great Galician food. Its a bit of a walk but worth it.
La Mi Venta
Lovely place with indoor and outdoor seating again depending on the weather. Wonderful food and service and reasonable cost.
